FANCY YARN is a yarn with deliberate imperfections. The demand for fancy yarns is due to the special aesthetic appeal it imparts to the fabric made using such fancy yarns. Fabrics produced using fancy yarn find applications in normal and high-fashion clothings. Curtains, carpets, upholstery fabrics, as a base for “effect” wallpaper manufacture and many more. Ring Spinning is successfully employed to manufacture fancy yarn. Rotor spinning, which offers economical benefits over ring spinning, has also been employed to produce fancy yarn. A number of ideas have been applied in practice to produce fancy yarn on Ring Spinning machines. The approach of these conventional devices has been to control the speeds of the mechanical elements of the Ring Spinning machine.

The principal idea is to affect the fiber flow without altering the speeds of the mechanical elements of a Ring Spinning machine. This influence of the flowing fibers by the extra motion air causes the effects or the imperfections in the yarn being spun to result in a fancy yarn. The duration of the time the extra motion air is applied to affect the fiber flow, influence the characteristics of the effects such as thickness, length and appearance. By programming the extra motion air time, effects can be produced in a predetermined way.

SLUBMOTION Attachments are being used for producing Slubs on Ring & Rotor Spinning frames and are capable of making many permutations of Slub - length, thickness & frequency. Slubs are spun fancies and each Slub is a thickening in the Spun Yarn. The Electronic Slub Motion Attachment Presently being manufactured by us is a total Indigenous development which is a patented item. The Unit offers some definite advantages when compared to even with some of the best available makes in the world Market. As soon as the device is put into action, the draft in the main drafting of the drafting system is cancelled by accelerating the back and middle (bottom) rollers of the drafting system so that the under - drafted roving appear as SLUB in the spun yarn. In rotor Spinning - the overfeed gives extra bulk at delivery. The complete unit consists of the electronic control box which gives the required electrical impulses for building the Slubs and the mechanical unit which transforms these electrical impulses into speed and acceleration. There is also provision for monitoring to prevent Missing of Slubs & Special Features have been incorporated to reduce shock loading of the Ring Frame.
